SYNOPSIS

Riccardo and Erica are married for many years and cannot have their own children. They tried every solution, even artificial insemination, with no results. So they made up their mind and went through the adoption road. Although all the meetings and visits got a positive outcome, many years pass until they become foster parents of a child. Because of this long waiting, they will be subjected to incessant controls by a terrible social worker who wants to prove their parental relationship with the child. Being foster parents is a great joy for the couple, even though Riccardo feels upset by the fact that the child comes from Sicily. He is afraid his family won’t accept the child, due to their biases towards Sicilians. However, the shock for Riccardo will be even greater when he will realize that Mario, the foster child, not only comes from Sicily but he is even black!
