SYNOPSIS

Martin is a 10-year-old boy that one day while talking with other kids, finds out something that he never noticed: he is the only one in the entire class whose parents are not divorced. All the other kids have a “larger” family which gives them many more opportunities to go on vacations and get presents. Martin, however, still has a normal family and in his imagination, he feels left behind, mocked, and ridiculed. Tired of feeling different from the other kids, he has a brilliant idea: he will make his mother and father argue as to eventually have a family like the other kids. And so begins the hard work of Martin, in which he will devise complex plans, aptly recorded in his diary, to drive his parents mad. But when Martin is about to achieve his goals, a sudden change of events shows him what surreal reality will follow if his plans come to term, and what he will have lost in the process.
